Our History

I give glory and honour to our Almighty God for He has given a vision to form (established) the Association; it was in the year 1998 that I Rev. Dr. L. Hevuto Awomi started to share the ideas and views to Rev Y.T. Lotha formation of United Baptist Churches Association to bring all the Independent Nagamese Speaking Churches and Fellowships in one platform As United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA)

Finally, by the Grace of God, the United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA) was formed in the year 2007, with the crystal vision which imparted into His Servants lives, after much prayer in tears for many years and with great efforts, God answered my prayer and help us to establish Association for the unity of Independent Baptist Churches and fellowship( Nagamese, Hindi, and English speaking churches/fellowship) in the state of Nagaland North Eastern state of India and region beyond.

The first meetings were held on 12th May’2007 at United Baptist Church, Sub-jail colony (Dimapur) under the leadership of Rev. Y.T. Lotha and Rev. Dr. L. Hevuto Awomi as Chairman and Secretary with eleven (11) Pastors from different churches and fellowship, later on 12th Aug’2008, the association was officially and publicly declared by Rev. R. P. Murry Pastor of Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, the then president of Baptist Pastor’s fellowship Dimapur with the knowledge of the then NBCC, General Secretary, Rev. Zhabu Terhuja.

he United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA) is a registered body (The registration Act of 1860). It is duly registered by Home Department Government of Nagaland Certificate of Registration No. H/RS-5450 dated 25.06.2009. As the year passed on the churches also added to UBCA. Now it has its own Mission Centre at Nihoto village, the land has been donated by Dr. P. Nihoto Chishi Village Chief (Head G.B) As the association require the permanent plot, the Lord bestowed blessings upon UBCA with the two plots in the year 2014, Dr. P. Nihoto Chishi Akukatou (Head GB) and family has generously gifted the plots to UBCA measuring 11/2 biga’s for mission centre and also Mr. Lovito Y Zhimo, GB and family has generously gifted a plot at Y.Zhimo Colony, Dimapur as an offering to God with the measuring size of 40 into 60 (40/60) in the year 2020, which is now the UBCA service office
