YOUTH DEPARTMENT

United Baptist Churches Association, Youth Ministry was formed as a result of the meeting held on 2nd Feb. 2008, at United Baptist Fellowship (UBF), Neisatou Colony Dimapur in the presence of Rev. Dr. L. Hevuto Awomi, Executive Secretary, UBCA.

Pastor Richard Mech had been appointed as the Youth Secretary UBCA on 9th June 2007 to initiate the Youth Department; the department's early gatherings were held at UBF Neisatou Colony.

The Youth Ministry UBCA had its first official programme on 16th Feb. 2008 titled “One Day Youth Retreat” hosted by Union Baptist Church Borlengri under the theme “Arise and Shine”.

The Youth Department is a fully fledged body under the UBCA to look after the Youth Ministry and its development in all the affiliated Churches of UBCA.

  • Youth camp, leadership training, seminars etc.
  • Youth pastors/leaders pulpit exchange.
  • Youth department combined services.
  • Sports and evangelism activities.
  • Inter-cultural shows to emphasize unity in diversity.

Aims & Objectives

Aims and objectives of Youth Department Ministry:

  1. Ministry to the young people and encourage them to follow Christ and to live as His disciples today.
  2. Empowering them to serve others and be a pillar of a better tomorrow.
  3. Help the young people to participate in mission work.
  4. Help to foster personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
